Zorica fosters a lifelong appreciation of music through strong technical foundations, creative expression, and cultural understanding. She is committed to inclusive and accessible music education, creating a supportive environment that nurtures confidence, collaboration, and personal growth. Through her work, she aims to help students develop not only as musicians but as expressive, thoughtful individuals connected to their communities.

About
Originally from Bulgaria, Zorica Dimova began studying violin at the age of five. By nine, she joined the Youth Orchestra, touring across Europe and earning multiple performance awards. She graduated from the National Music Conservatory “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, where she performed as a soloist with the State Academy Symphony Orchestra, featuring concertos by Mozart and Brahms.
Before moving to the United States, Zorica Dimova performed with the Bankya Chamber Orchestra and the New Symphony Orchestra. Since joining the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in 2003, she has also performed with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, and Nashville Symphony, and has participated at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and French Quarter Fest. An active soloist, chamber musician, and educator, she continues to perform nationally and internationally, and presents master classes.
A dedicated educator, Dimova serves on the faculty of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and previously lectured at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she taught applied strings, orchestral excerpts, and chamber music. She also maintains a private studio in Mandeville, Louisiana, mentoring young string players from the elementary through high school levels. Her students have earned awards and scholarships from the Music Teachers National Association, Junior Philharmonic Society of New Orleans, Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition, the Louisiana Music Teachers Association, and various summer music festivals.
Zorica Dimova holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin and Viola Performance from Louisiana State University. She is a certified Suzuki violin instructor through Book 10, and a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, the Music Teachers National Association, and the Louisiana Music Educators Association.
